DEMENTIA
Dementia is a condition where a person experiences loss of brain function that is progressive (gets worse evolving) as impaired memory, behavior, attitudes, and communication that can eventually interfere with daily life. The following are the factors that cause these symptoms:
1. Age
Dementia is usually found in patients with advanced age above 60 years. Person's risk of dementia proportional to increasing age. The older a person, the greater the risk of developing dementia. This is due to a degenerative process (damage due to aging).
2. Stress
In a state of severe stress and depression, a person is likely to experience a decline in cognitive function (thinking power) so it is not able to understand something well. The more the severity level of stress that arises, will the faster trigger or aggravate dementia. However, if the stress immediately addressed, the memory function can be restored.

3. Sex
Some literature says that women have higher stress levels than men. Therefore, it is relatively easy women than men suffer from dementia.

4. Lack of Sleep Time
Lack of sleep can also cause impaired thinking.

5. Nutrition and Diet
Malnutrition can facilitate the occurrence of disease dementia (dementia).

6. Lack Sports
7. Lack of Intellectual Stimulation
8. Alcohol
9. Smoke
10. Use of Drugs
11. Genetic factors

The symptoms that can be found in people with dementia can be:
1. Often forgotten
2. Impaired concentration
3. Decreased ability to solve the problem of decision making
4. Confused
5. Psychiatric disorders
6. Disorders of perception
7. Disruption of sleep patterns
8. Gait disturbance
9. Language disorders
10. Personality disorder

The Prevention
We can prevent the onset of dementia. The following are simple suggestions that can be done:
1. regular exercise
2. Do not smoke and drink alcohol
3. Consuming healthy foods
4. Activities / hobbies positive
5. Managing stress well
6. diligent reading
7. Regulate healthy sleep patterns
8. Relaxation and meditation

Treatment
The goal of treatment is to control dementia symptoms. Treatment of dementia are
two types, namely:
1. Non-Medical
     That is to undergo psychotherapy

2. Medical
That is by giving drugs to patients, such as:
     a. Anti-depressants
     b. sedative
     c. Drugs for dementia
As we have seen that the nature of dementia was owned by the elderly. Then as a young man living in today, we should not denounce or senility owned utilize our families and other people who are elderly. Because it includes a law of nature that it must belong to every person when his old age. And remember, when we have taken the decision to take care of our families are elderly, then it implies that we also have to take care of senile its properties.

PROBLEM
1 . The problem is an opportunity to develop.
A problem can be a kick opportunity , a chance to get out of stagnation , boredom or the status quo as well as any that are intended to create a condition so much the better . It should be noted that the well known problem that is not necessarily the result of adverse events or external factors . Each new enlightenment where visible development or improvement opportunities will be a " problem " for us to solve. This is why most creative thinkers is the " search problem " rather than " avoidance of the problem . "

2 . The problem is the difference between reality and the conditions expected conditions .
A problem can arise due to lack of knowledge or a new idea . When we know where we are now and where we were heading , then we 've got a problem related to how we can reach the goal that we expect . Form of the solution itself can and should be made with a variety of fun and exciting solution paths that we can choose . Clearly , when we 've been able to identify any difference between what - what - what we have and what we actually want, then it means we are able to define the problem and also have got a referral to achieve our goals .

3 . The problem is the result of an awareness that conditions are now occurring is not complete and the belief that the future can be made better.
Is not it interesting when the so-called " expectation " was able to give birth to the "problem " . The belief that our expectations will be achieved we have a goal to make the future better . Hope we make ourselves feel challenged , and the challenge of this kind is also worth also cited as a problem .

4. The problem is the gap ( discrepancy ) between what should (hope ) with what is in reality now .
The gap may refer to science and technology , economics , politics , social, cultural , education and so forth . The study is expected to be able to anticipate these gaps . Issues that need to be answered through research and varied quite a lot of problems , for example in the field of education alone can be categorized into several angles a review of the issue of quality , equity , relevance and efficiency of education ( Riyanto , 2001:1 ) One type of research in the field of education is peneltian action , performed by applying the methods of teaching when the learning takes place in the classroom with the hope of improving student achievement .

In the realm of social science , Social Issues Robert K Merton defined as " a significant mismatch and unwanted " togetherness between the standard and actual conditions . Or in other words , " An unexpected situations that are not in line with the values espoused sekelompuk people who agree that the need for action to address the situation " .

From the various problems that we have received, then that is where we will hone our brain to think creatively, different than usual with the aim of problems that can be completed properly. Increasingly creative in thinking to solve them, the faster and better the matter was finished. It can be said that a creative mind that comes from semuah problems in human life. Find your problems as much as possible so that our minds are always trained to think creatively and creative life.

CREATIVITY
Creative thinking is a thought process that produces creativity. Creativity is very important to deal with all the limitations that we have, solving problems on various aspects of life, as well as generating new opportunities or to facilitate the work of our lives. Creativity is the fuel that produces energy or passion. Creativity is not limited to creativity (big 'C') which in nature such as painting Da Vinci's masterpiece. There is also such thing as a small creativity (litle 'c'), the ingenuity that is used to solve everyday problems.
Since the birth of each person who has a high enough creativity in its DNA. No need to have a high IQ to be creative. Everyone who is able to have high creativity and discipline because he wants to continue to create new IDE2. Creativity can be increased / decreased. Creativity down because of the pressures of life / stress from experiencing life challenges and dilemmas, working on the job yng not preferred, because it had to, and work at a level well below their true potential. Superabundant activity can lead to saturation. Saturation makes the mind stagnant.
Based on various opinions about the definition of creativity, it can be concluded that creativity is the ability to create or produce something new and original, not previously known or solve new problems encountered. Does it show the creativity of a new thing? Some experts argue that creativity should not be entirely new, but it can also be a combination of existing combined something new.
One of the things that are important in creativity is the ability to think that spreading (divergent thinking) as opposed to thinking that fused (convergent thinking). In both the intellect structure that plays a very important role. In convergent thinking is no right answer and the right, were on divergent thinking to produce a detailed assortment of various alternative solutions to a broad, each of which is a reasonable possibility. The thinkers who are not bound spread expectations, does not want the right answer, but rather requires a way of thinking that is spontaneous and free, as in daydreaming and free association, which produces a variety of problem solving or discovery. Free association used in solving problems in groups called brainstorming.
As for the cause of creativity can not develop optimally is because someone too accustomed to think in an orderly and hindered by the possibility to respond and solve problems independently. With this kind of orderly thought, then someone accustomed to follow the pattern of attitude and behavior as a habit pattern developed by the community or the environment (Nashori & Mucharram, 2002: 26; Diana, 1999: 6).
“Creativity can solve almost any problem. The creative act, the defeat of habit by originality overcomes everything. – Kreativitas dapat memecahkan hampir semua masalah. Tindakan kreatif, sikap kuat yg pada dasarnya mengatasi semuanya.”

SELF-ESTEEM

SELF-ESTEEM
Self-esteem is the evaluative component of self-concept , which consists of positive and negative evaluations of one's own self ( Worchel , et al . , 2000 in Dayakisni ) . Thus , self-esteem is a basis for evaluating or assessing any thought of yourself either positive or negative . The sources of the most important in the formation or development of self-esteem is in the family experience , feedback on performance and social comparison ( Michener & Delamater , 1999) . Coopersmith (1967 ) concluded that there were four types of parental behaviors that can improve self-esteem : ( 1 ) demonstrate acceptance , affection , interest , and involvement in events and activities experienced by the child , ( 2 ) Apply the clear limits on children's behavior firmly and consistently , ( 3 ) provide freedom within limits and appreciate the initiative , ( 4 ) The form of discipline that is not forced ( to avoid privileges and discuss the reasons rather than physical punishment ) ( Dayakisni & Hudaniyah , 2009) .
People who have low self-esteem succumbing to an attitude of self ( self-defeating ) that can memperangkap themselves into a vicious circle . Usually because they expect failure , they become anxious , showed little businesses / small and eliminate the significant challenges in their lives . Then people low self-esteem when they fail in doing an activity or purpose , will always blame himself , it encourages him to quickly give up and do not have a competent soul again . This means that people do not want to try harder to reach the goal , when in his first attempt fails , then he did not repeat inging or learn from the failures he had ever received . He tends membbuang her goal and replace it with another destination without ever feeling before the goal is reached ( Dayakisni & Hudaniyah , 2009) .
As a means of measuring social , self esteem can also be measured . Self-esteem can be measured explicitly or implicitly . Measurements done explicitly by asking people to rate ( ranging from very appropriate to not conform ) against a statement about yourself , such as " I feel valued enumerated others" . Measurements ririskiky implicitly done by measuring the speed of reaction to a stimulus that is associated with the self . Subliminal stimulus is given ( shown quickly to be consciously recognized ) in hopes of reducing the likelihood of people do not respond as it is to display a particular impression on him .
Self - esteem is often measured as a rank in dimensions ranging from negative to positive or from low to high . A different approach is to ask respondents to indicate what their ideal self , their real self , and then examines the differences between the two . The greater the difference between the ideal self , the lower self - esteem . Although the specific content may vary over time , the differences tend to be stable to ideal self ( Baron & Byrne , 2003) .
Some of the benefits of why everyone always mengigninkan positive self-esteem among these :
1 . Positive self-esteem makes people feel good about themselves in the middle of the certainty of death that a time will faces.
2 . Positive self-esteem allows people to cope with anxiety , loneliness , and social rejection . In this case , the price of an instrument measuring social self " sociameter " to see the extent to which a person feels accepted and blend with the social environment . Thus , the more positive self-esteem you have, the more shows that he increasingly felt welcome and fused with other people around him .

Self-esteem is very important for every human being. due to self-esteem, people can know the advantages and disadvantages of each. So they can be introspective and always motivated to do good. Other than that man can also understand the positions of others and do not always make mistakes to others. Appreciate yourself and other people appreciate what he does.

Prosocial Behavior

Prosocial Behavior
Prosocial behavior can be understood as a benefit recipient behavior , but do not have a clear advantage for the culprit . William ( 1981 ) restrict prosocial behavior in more detail the behavior that has the intention to change the physical or psychological state of poor beneficiaries for the better , in terms of both material and psychological . In this case it can be said that prosocial behavior aims to help improve the well being of others.
Baron & Byrne ( 2003) describes prosocial behavior as any actions that benefit others . In general , the term is applied to actions provide a direct benefit to the person doing the action, and may even contain a certain degree of risk .
Prosocial behavior includes any action taken or planned to help , regardless of the motive salvation. Prosocial behavior covers a broader category that includes all forms of actions taken or planned to help others , regardless of the motives of the helper . Several types of prosocial behavior is not altruistic action ( voluntary action taken by one or a group of people to help others without expecting anything in return ) .
According to Staub (1978 ) , there are several factors which underlie a person to behave in prosocial , namely :
1 . Self - gain
Hope someone to gain or avoid losing something .
2 . Personal values and norms
The existence of values and social norms are internalized by individuals during socialization and most experienced values and norms related to prosocial action .
3 . Empathy
The ability for someone to come to feel the feelings or experiences of others . The ability for empathy is closely relation to takeover the role . So the prerequisite to be able to do empathy , the individual must have the ability to perform the role of retrieval .

There are several personal and situational factors that determine prosocial actions . There are three factors that influence the likelihood of prosocial behavior , namely :
1 . Situational characteristics , such situations are blurred or hazy and the number of people who saw the incident .
2 . The characteristics of people who saw the incident as age , gender , race , ability to help , and
3 . Victim characteristics such as gender , race , attractiveness.

Prosocial behavior is a behavior that makes us to always behave in the sincere. Because in social behave, we do not expect a reward for what we have done. Therefore, we must give a lesson on prosocial behavior to our kids since they were little. Prosocial behavior it is important to train themselves into noble and sincere man.

Make a Living by Way of Exploring Variations in Brain

Posted by Unknown Jumat, 18 Oktober 2013 0 komentar

if you have to calculate how many years we inhabit this earth? how many years we have enjoyed the variety of life on this earth? Most of us are probably aware that we have to live in this world based on our age. But perhaps most of us still do not know a thing that can continue to deliver us into the life of this world. This thing continues to grow as long as we live and breath will stop functioning when we have lost from our body. The object in question is the brain. We realize that this time it is the brain that is always accompany us down a life filled with twists and turns. Our brains are always evolving with accompanying process of thinking that we do. The more we often think, then our brains will continue to grow toward new things and yet we know in ourselves. The brain will not stop growing as long as we are still alive, and that the brain can change the world. We have seen that a lot of emerging technology-technology that led to the development of civilization a result of the thinking of the great people and scientists. In other words it is the brain that helps the scientists to think that making the world increasingly developing sophisticated.
In the world of psychology, the brain has three parts: the cortex, the limbic system and primitive reptile. Primitive live is unconscious part of our brain, while the limbic system is the part that gives the feeling of pleasure or sadness, and also the desire to do something, in which there is the hypothalamus which became a place for all the information that has been obtained. And the cortex is part of the motor and sensory centers throughout the body, the cortex is useful for selecting a desire of the limbic system which will be applied to the whole body or not. (Cristiadji, 2012)
In psychological studies say that the basic elements that make up the central nervous system in the brain is the neuron, which is a specialized cell that transmits information throughout the nervous system.
(Solso et al., P 39, 2007) A study says that in our bodies there are 2 billion neurons. Everything is always connected to each other, linking to each other neurons is the synapse. Synapse also serves to send information from one neuron to another neuron. (Mukhlis, 2013) In neurons are neurotransmitters, chemical messengers that are activated in the membrane in the receiving neuron dendrites. In other words, the neurotransmitter is a tool that is used to receive information from other neurons. Information coming from the dendrites always go first and then to the axon. Dendrites and axons in neurons located. Both of them always play a role in the delivery of information. Information / stimulus received from the outside in the form of chemical messengers and then by neurons converted into electrical energy and is connected to other neurons. Every activity that we do have a pathway neurons, respectively, so that the activity with each other would not be wrong in treating our bodies. (Solso et al., P 41, 2007)
Synapse speed to deliver the latest information is 0.5 m / s. Speed synapse can continue to grow due to the faster lane into a series of activities always skipped or used, it resulted in the rapid synapse in processing information.
That's a little explanation of the activity in the brain when we think. When we discuss the brain then the discussion will not be completed because the brain was very spacious if we study it, even what we learned in this universe we are still far behind the learning brain. Because what adda in the universe into the mind / brain.

Therefore let us not play with brains, use our brains in terms of goodness to worship and draw us closer to the Creator. While we may think, why we do not thinking gift of God is so much to increase our knowledge and experience. Because the real brains and passions is a surrogate of God to accompany us in life. Take good care and good use in the way of Allah as most life and move us toward tomorrow is always accompanied by brains and our minds.

Important Factor in the Child's Learning

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
Psychological factors that influence the process and learning outcomes are numerous , and each of them can not be discussed in separately .
Individual behavior , including learned behavior , is the totality of appreciation and activities that were born as a result of the end of the interplay of a variety of symptoms , such as attention , observation , memory , thoughts and motives .

Attention
Surely unacceptable that students are paying attention to the subject of intensive study will reap better results . Intensive attention characterized by the magnitude of awareness that accompany learning activities . Intensive attention to the subject of the students in such a way
be exploited through specific learning strategies , such as providing learning materials to suit the needs of learners subject , presenting learning material with varying techniques and creative , such as playing a role ( role playing ) , debates and so on .
Pemebelajaran strategies like these can also provoke spontaneous attention from the subject students . Spontaneous attention meant was unintentional attention , naturally , which emerged from instinctive impulses to know something , such as a tendency to know what is happening in reverse commotion beside the house , and others. Some of the results of psychological research suggests that spontaneous attention tends to produce a more memory intensive than long and deliberate attention .

Observation
Observation is how the introduction of the world by the subject students through vision, hearing , touching , smelling and tasting . Bai observation is the influence of the gate from the outside in individual subjects students , and therefore observation is important for learning .
For the purposes of setting the learning process , educators need to understand the overall modalities such observations , and analytically establish which of the elements of the observation modality most dominant role in the learning process . Psychology seems to agree that the other elements of the learning process . In other words , the acquisition of knowledge by the subject information more students through vision and hearing .
If so , educators need to consider the appearance of the tools in the presentation of learning materials that can stimulate the optimization of the power of vision and hearing students subject . Props that can be used , for example ; chart , charts , recordings , slides , and so on .

Memory
Theoretically, there are three aspects related to the functioning of memory , namely ( 1 ) receives the impression , ( 2 ) storing an impression , and ( 3 ) produces an impression . Perhaps because these functions , the term " memory " is always defined as the ability to receive , store and reproduce the impression .
Skills impression merima very central role in learning . Through these skills , students subjects were able to remember things he had learned .
In the context of learning , these skills can be affected by several things, among them teaching techniques used educator . Learning techniques are accompanied by the appearance of the chart , overview and so it felt going deeper on the subject students . In addition , the development of learning techniques that utilize the " catwalk memory " is also more memorable for students subject , especially for learning material in the form of formulas or certain symbol sequences . Examples of interesting case is to remember the names of key tone g ( warm ) , d ( and ) , a ( chicken ) , b ( duck ) and so on .
Another thing of memory is the ability to save or recall impressions . This ability is not the same quality on every subject students . Nevertheless , there are common things that happen to anyone : that as soon as someone completes an action learning , the process of forgetting will occur . Things are forgotten at first accumulate quickly , and then take the slow , and eventually some things will be left and stored in memory for a relatively long time .
To achieve adequate proportion to remember , according to the educational psychologist , the subject students should repeat the study in a period not too long . Implications of this view in the learning process in a way that makes it possible for students to repeat a subject or recall learning material they have learned . It is , for example , can be done through the provision of learning submaterial test after one finishes .
Re
production capabilities , ie activation or re production process things that have been studied , no less interesting to watch . However , the things that have been studied , one day , have to be produced to meet the specific needs of students subject , for example the need to answer the questions in the test , or to respond to these challenges around the world .
Educators can sharpen students' skills in this subject through assignments recapitulate the learning material that has been given .

Thinking
The most common definition of thinking is the development of ideas and concepts ( Bochenski , in Suriasumantri ( ed ) , 1983:52 ) within individuals . Development of ideas and concepts is going through the process of building relations between the parts of information stored in the form of understanding someone understanding. From these figures it can be seen that thinking is essentially a psychological process with the following steps : ( 1 ) understanding the formation , ( 2 ) interlacing notions , and ( 3 ) conclusion.
The ability to think on natural human nature . Humans are born under normal circumstances would by itself have this capability with different levels rel
ative . If so , that should be pursued in the learning process is to develop this capability , rather than weaken it . Educators who have a tendency to explain the " learn more " about the learning material will tend to weaken the ability of the subject students to think . Instead , educators are more focusing on the provision of learning concepts or key concepts that will encourage the subject to their students functional develop their thinking skills . Lessons like these will bring to the subject of opposition psychology students to formulate their conclusions independently.

Motive
Motif is a state in the subject students are encouraged to undertake certain activities . Motive may arise from external stimu
ly , such as gift-giving when one can accomplish one task well . Such motifs are often called motifs extrentik . But it was often the motive in the subject grew in his own students called intrinsic motives . For example , a subject students love to read because he wanted to know more about something .
In the context of learning , intrinsic motives necessarily always better , and usually long-term . But in a state of intrinsic motives are not enough on the subject of potential students , educators need to deal with the presence of extrinsic motives . This motif , for example , can be presented through the creation of a competitive atmosphere among individuals and groups of students subject . This atmosphere will encourage students to strive subject or exceed the
else. However race so, educators should strictly monitor the atmosphere so as not to lead to negative things .
Extrinsic motives can also be presented through finesse " self- competition " , which presents graphs of individual performance chart
learn . Through this graph, any subject students can see their own progress - progress . And once compared with the progress made his friends. Through see this chart , the subject students will be encouraged to improve his performance so as not to be under other people's achievements .

if we take the role of being a parent, so when we want our children to be successful, we have to consider when they are in the world of school is to regulate and control the learning process. not only the process, but we are also able to control the outcome of their study by looking at the child's observation, attention, memory of him, the way he thinks, and also acquired motives. The fifth aspect is actually not only that, but still a lot. but that the five things that are always useful and visible in the community.

Mnemonic processes

Posted by Unknown Jumat, 11 Oktober 2013 0 komentar

Mnemonic technique has been known since ancient Greek and Roman times and is still used today. Some people who use mnemonic techniques such as : marketing experts, corporate lawyers, and even students. Is the mnemonic?
At its core, is a mnemonic techniques to remember things easier. More specifically, the mean formula or mnemonic phrase to help remember something (Big Indonesian Dictionary). And according to Stine, mnemonic is the brain's ability to connect the words, ideas, and fantasies.

Based on these definitions that can be said is a mnemonic techniques to remember the things that made it easier to make a statement or expression, or connecting words, ideas, and fantasies. In other words means mnemonic memory techniques to utilize in certain ways.
The benefits of using a mnemonic, as easy to remember, of course, will also facilitate learning. Barriers to learning will be lost. This will raise the motivation of students to study harder, so it can finally achieve optimal learning outcomes.
So, the final achievement in learning the use of mnemonic techniques is the optimal learning results with a quick and easy way. Therefore, this technique should be given to the students.

Mnemonic techniques
There are some mnemonic techniques. One of them is related method. This method works on the assumption that the mind is not focused on one thing. The mind is always jumping. If one thought arises, it will be followed by another thought. By linking these thoughts, access becomes easy.
For learning, how to use mnemonic as follows : (1) prepare a fact or keywords of the subject matter that should be remembered, (2) associate these words with each other, (3) for visualization (imaginary) in mind, (4) redial words.
10 For exampl
e, students should remember the following key words : Russia, America, Elephants, Comedian, Fire, Taj Mahal, Egypt, Black, Sun, Sea (adapted from Kapadia, with adjustments 2003:56-57). The words were then associated with mnemonic techniques.
Examples link mnemonic : Russia fought against American and transform America into an elephant. The elephant ride a comedian who went to Indonesia to watch API (Academy Comedian TPI
). The comedian then invited participants API to India to see the Taj Mahal. Of India, they went on a trip to Egypt to see the pyramids. In Egypt, they met people who were black. They were surprised and asked why the men were black, who answered that they were sunburned. Hear his answer that they were shocked and fell into the sea.
Of mnemonic link above example shows that the mind (the idea) of the intertwined with the thought that the second and so on. A mind bound by the following thoughts as a chain. If we recall the mind, then the other thoughts will automatically follow. Linkages are arranged to resemble a story it even easier for students to remember the entire word, because the original words as unrelated are now all seems logical and interrelated.
Visualization in mnemonic is done , for example by making a mental picture of an elephant who climbed five comedians. Over their heads seemed the sun was shining brightly and burn the bodies of black men. Or visualization of the more bizarre for maximum results. Revisions were made to the redial key words above.

in the world of psychology there is a technique called mnemonic techniques. which is a technique that can be used by humans to be able to understand and interpret everything that is in this world. mnemonic techniques can be a connection between the words, figures, ideas and fantasies. humans tend to have difficulty in remembering new information the first time they get, therefore mnemonic technique helps us to be able to remember information well, but it also should not forget the retrieval process.
