Love ... What the hell is love? of course everyone has love , is not it? Because a person who has a psychopathic disorder would also have love .
On this occasion , let's discuss the " LOVE " is in the light of psychology .

FACTORS CAUSE SOMEONE LOVE

The phenomenon of love can be addressed through the study of social psychology , particularly in the fields of social psychology studies related to interpersonal relationships . Psychology of interpersonal relationships is part of social psychology that studies on aspects of behavioral and psychological phenomena associated with social relationship between two persons .

Psychologists , social psychologists in particular , did a study of love associated with the behavior of other people like or are interested in the context of efforts to establish a relationship between two persons . In this case a person love another person because in the process of interaction between two persons starting from a person having an interest with others . Knowledge about the attractiveness of interpersonal social psychology can be used to develop the interpersonal attractiveness of the so people can build better interpersonal relationships and the next time it can improve the quality of life .

In this context , a person likes or interested with others to establish a special relationship with another person that is caused by several factors . Several factors are:
a. proximity
Sociologists concluded that many people connect with their partner or marry because they meet around the area of ​​her life . In this case , people are attracted to others because of their frequency of interaction with other people living in the same area . Examples of people interested in the other person and then a special interpersonal relationships with others can be exemplified by the people who became husband and wife because they live in the same housing complex , they work at the same place , they study the same major , and they move in the same organization .

b . Physical attractiveness of the
Physical attractiveness may be the deciding factor someone loves someone else , and then establish a relationship of love . This is especially true in men . Many men are attracted to women as an attractive physical appearance , while women are more attracted to men because of the appearance of his personality . This is evidenced by the fact that many beautiful women is easier to obtain than the date handsome men . In addition to that explanation , mate choice based on physical traits are also linked to the principle of balance ( matching phenomenon ) between the two sides of the attractive appearance and stereotype a person in society . In regard to the concept of stereotype , a person is considered beautiful or more handsome because people have a general idea of ​​the ideal beautiful and handsome in a certain period of time and for specific communities clustered , like a beautiful woman in stereotypical 2000s period in Indonesian society is a picture of a white woman , shoulder-length hair , and a slender body . phenomenon of the 2000s stereotype of beautiful women can be found in everyday conversation among the public and the mass media ( television and magazines ) .
c. Similarity and Overlapping Needs (Complementary)
Someone like or love others because it can happen because it has a similarity or likeness of another person. Many couples who share similar values, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors, preferring the chance to live a happy married life.

d. People Loving Someone Who Loved Himself
Someone loves those who love him because when one is judged by other people, then there is some sort of psychological process whereby one where he got the reward (reward) for the love of it. This is consistent with the theory of Abraham Maslow (in Myers, 2002) which states that humans need or want to be loved and to love.

e. The advantage gained from A Relationship
Based on the theory of social exchange (exchange theory) which refers to the reciprocal relationship that people will love and continue to love others because other people are giving a lot of significant advantage to him. The advantages that can be physical, psychological, material, and spiritual.

THREE ASPECTS OF LOVE

 Stenberg (Beck, 1992) explains that there are three aspects are covered in the phenomenon of love, namely:
a. Intimacy: refers to feelings of closeness or feelings of connectedness with people lain.b. Excitement: plant sources that refer to functions keterbangkitan emotional and powerful biological function.
c. Commitment: attachment associated with a decision about a person by another person in a relationship.
