DEMENTIA
Dementia is a condition where a person experiences loss of brain function that is progressive (gets worse evolving) as impaired memory, behavior, attitudes, and communication that can eventually interfere with daily life. The following are the factors that cause these symptoms:
1. Age
Dementia is usually found in patients with advanced age above 60 years. Person's risk of dementia proportional to increasing age. The older a person, the greater the risk of developing dementia. This is due to a degenerative process (damage due to aging).
2. Stress
In a state of severe stress and depression, a person is likely to experience a decline in cognitive function (thinking power) so it is not able to understand something well. The more the severity level of stress that arises, will the faster trigger or aggravate dementia. However, if the stress immediately addressed, the memory function can be restored.

3. Sex
Some literature says that women have higher stress levels than men. Therefore, it is relatively easy women than men suffer from dementia.

4. Lack of Sleep Time
     Lack of sleep can also cause impaired thinking.

5. Nutrition and Diet
     Malnutrition can facilitate the occurrence of disease dementia (dementia).

6. Lack Sports
7. Lack of Intellectual Stimulation
8. Alcohol
9. Smoke
10. Use of Drugs
11. Genetic factors

The symptoms that can be found in people with dementia can be:
1. Often forgotten
2. Impaired concentration
3. Decreased ability to solve the problem of decision making
4. Confused
5. Psychiatric disorders
6. Disorders of perception
7. Disruption of sleep patterns
8. Gait disturbance
9. Language disorders
10. Personality disorder

The Prevention
We can prevent the onset of dementia. The following are simple suggestions that can be done:
1. regular exercise
2. Do not smoke and drink alcohol
3. Consuming healthy foods
4. Activities / hobbies positive
5. Managing stress well
6. diligent reading
7. Regulate healthy sleep patterns
8. Relaxation and meditation

Treatment
The goal of treatment is to control dementia symptoms. Treatment of dementia are
two types, namely:
1. Non-Medical
     That is to undergo psychotherapy

2. Medical
     That is by giving drugs to patients, such as:
     a. Anti-depressants
     b. sedative
     c. Drugs for dementia
As we have seen that the nature of dementia was owned by the elderly. Then as a young man living in today, we should not denounce or senility owned utilize our families and other people who are elderly. Because it includes a law of nature that it must belong to every person when his old age. And remember, when we have taken the decision to take care of our families are elderly, then it implies that we also have to take care of senile its properties.
