Function of psychology as a science
Psychology as a science has three functions , namely :
• Explain , that is able to explain what , how , and why the behavior occurred . The results are in the form of an explanation or description that is descriptive discussion.
• Predicting , ie able to foresee or predict what , how , and why the behavior occurred . Prediction results in the form of prognosis , prediction or estimation
• Control , ie controlling behavior as expected . Manifestations in the form of actions that are preventive or prevention , intervention or treatment as well as rehabilitation or treatment .
behavioral approach
Behavioral approach , the behavior is essentially a response to the stimulus coming . In simple terms can be described in the model S - R or a link Stimulus - Response . This means that as a reflex behavior without mental work at all .
cognitive approach
Cognitive approach emphasizes that behavior is a mental process , where the individual (organism ) active in capturing , assessing , comparing , and responding to the stimulus before the reaction . Individuals receiving the stimulus of mental process before reacting to stimulus that comes .
psychoanalytic approach
Psychoanalysis approach developed by Sigmund Freud
The approach developed by Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis . He believes that an individual's life largely controlled by the subconscious . Behavior so much based on things that are not aware of , such as desires , impulses , or encouragement . Repressed desire or impulse that will linger in the subconscious, and at times will require to be satisfied .
phenomenological approach
Phenomenological approach is more attention on the individual's subjective experience because it's behavior is strongly influenced by the individual's sense of self and the world , the truth about himself , his pride and anything that involves consciousness or self-actualization . This means looking at a person's behavior is always associated with the phenomenon of himself . your article is good,but in this section of this article, i found stimulus and response theory and about cognitive theory,,,,,
,as we know that there are many theories in our psychological theories,,,,and i think the important theory's not only explain about the S-R, cognitive theory. but the important thing we have to understand about all component of humans such us intelligence, emotions, spiritual and etc,,,,,,so with this all component we can evaluate the existence of human....
and i think it can be better if you can explain more about the phenomena in the reality,,,

how behavior can be result from stimulus-response ?, whereas according to Freud "our behavior is based on the concept of unconscious behavior that most people do not realize". how we can respond well when it is in the subconscious? (Mamluatul Hasanah_12410139)

SR theory basing the assumption that the cause of the behavior changes depending on the quality of the stimuli (stimulus) that communicates with the organism. The emergence of behaviors will be stronger when given reinforcement and will disappear when sentenced. SR then this can be considered as a process of exchange or transfer of information. This process can be reciprocated and have many effects. Each effect can change the next communication action.
